Autumn Workshop + Lunch
A spin-off from our traditional Makers Meals, for this workshop + lunch we experienced a little taste of Sperryville, Virginia's small town charm.
The afternoon began foraging medicinal plants with Colleen O’Bryant of Wild Roots Apothecary. We then headed to the riverside and shared a meal prepared by self-acclaimed "Chopped champ" Chef Ryan Ross, who hails from the neighboring town of Warrenton. Known for her locally sourced suppers, Chef Ross incorporated ingredients from our foraging as well as from the makers of Sperryville and its surrounding farmland.
We closed out our time together sipping Colleen's Handcrafted cocktails while she demonstrated how to make fire cider and elderberry syrup to support health and immunity throughout the Winter months.
