Makers Meals began as a way to bring people together around a table of beautiful and delicious food to think critically about the ways we can creatively engage our city and the intrepid makers, movers, and shakers that make it such an incredible place to live and work. More importantly, it’s become a wonderful touchpoint for us to both build with and learn from our communities in the creative spaces of food, art, and beyond.
I'm a photographer and stylist living in Jersey City, NJ. I typically have a string of side projects that I am working on at any one time. I've come to discover that authentic + meaningful relationships can be built through creative collaboration and of course, through meals together. You can find me on a picnic blanket at Liberty State Park most Fridays with my husband and 3-year-old daughter and laughing at my own jokes (no shame here) on Instagram at @alittleterroir.
I'm a creative entrepreneur and food junkie living in Washington, D.C. I currently run Workhorse, a boutique brand and creative content agency. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of good design and good storytelling, something I bring forward in everything I do. When I’m lucky, you can find me eating my way through far away places. Otherwise, I’m likely hiking the hills of Shenandoah with my rocket-scientist husband and our fearless adventure pup (who makes frequent appearances on my Instagram @aferran).
